Jason Riggs: Guestbook

Hey Uncle Bingo. I am so glad that you emailed me. I have heard some not
so good news about Jason.. I heard that while he was in transit to New
Mexico he was abducted by the circus clowns to feed to the lions prior
to the start of the show so the lions are not tempted to eat the
audience?!??! Please tell me this isn't true.. I hate it when people
make things up just so they can feel cool.
Before he left I heard a rumor that he and his lovely companion to be were going to go to a remote island and get hitched and live there happily ever after sipping pina coladas while watching the sunset. I hope that this is the reason for his abrupt disappearance and not that of the cruel circus clowns.
I will certainly get in contact with you if I am able to locate Jason.

Hey I know you're out there Jason Riggs! In fact, I seen you not long ago sittin' at some Charmed gig at some ayiyi yervedic restaurant. Oh yeah, that was you alright, hair and everything...I could smell singer-songwriter all over yas! ;-)

A POSSIBLE SIGHTING OF JASON RIGGS: There has been a report that Jason has
allegedly been digging in trash cans at private resident's homes in an attempt to find his beloved red fender guitar that strangely disappeared one night in a
back alley of the the slums of Utah. It could also be that he is starving due to
lack of profits from his nonexistant third album. There have been whispers in the
streets that he typically is sighted in the early morning hours near Tramway. The
president of his fan club is planning on camping out in hopes of seeing her beloved son...er favorite singer songwriter.

I saw him! I saw him! He was dressed all in corduroy (cap too) standing on
the corner with a sign that reads..."Will folk for cash." I tried stopping
him and talking to him, but he disappeared into the mysterious dusk. I
miss that Jason. He's got a strong voice, and he
plays darn good rhythm guitar. I know Willie Nelson, or somebody, did one
of his songs about his heart not being broken anymore. Anyway, I hope he
shows up. When he doesn't play guitar for more than a month he starts to
twitch, and he starts walking funny...kinda leaning to one side and
mumbling something about Dylan. I'll follow up
when I find out what's going on.

Uncle Jason, I like all the pictures and I like that you're my uncle. You are cool and the website cool. I like when you play guitar and harmonica. I have your song, "Drive Away" stuck in my head. You are the best. I love you.

You should play "My Heart's Not Broken Anymore" at your live show dude. I know Willie Nelson, or somebody recorded it. But nobody does it like you. That should be on your live album. Are you really in Mexico living off of your royalty checks? That is cool man.

I imagine with all those royalty checks coming in now you are takin' it easy on a boat in Mexico or something. It must be nice being a total rock n roll stud.

The Eleven Mile Records family is very pleased to announce that Jason Bennett has indeed recorded a sweet, perky little version of Jason Riggs' song "My Heart's Not Broken Anymore". I was invited into the studio to hear the final mix and let me tell ya, it is cute as a button. We'll keep you posted on the upcoming release of Bennett's "Mindchange" album. By the way, there are only two cover songs on the album. One is Riggs, the other is a Bob Dylan composition. Jason Bennett, Jason Riggs and Bob Dylan songs all on the same record? You bet........

Hey, Jas. I've been enjoying the stories. Your song lyrics and stories have always come from your heart. It's a big heart - glad to see it's healed. I enjoy listening to your tunes with my "Windows Rolled Down". Funny, now I have 2 little girls in carseats in the back, listening, too. Someday, they'll be headed to a stadium concert to see you play, thinking I'm the square mom who can't understand. But I do...I always did. Good luck and keep those great tunes coming.

I saw this guy at a little coffee shop just outside Sandy UT. He's fantastic! Such a distinct sound. Very powerful lyrics and strong melodies, while still maintaining a very approachable and friendly demeanor. I wish there were more coffee shop artists like this guy. Thanks for doing what you do!

If you have never heard Jason perform before, you must, absolutely MUST see him live. It's one of those shows where you will laugh, smile for no apparent reason, tap your foot without knowing it, and be completely absorbed in the amazing music and lyrics. For those of you who have not purchased "Pawn Shop Special" yet, let me tell you that Jason just keeps getting better and better. Every song is amazing. You will find a few that you wonder "How did he read my mind about that?" and other songs where you just start singing along without knowing it until the song is done. "This Machine" is a great first track that hooks you and makes you want to listen to the next, just to find out what's next! My personal all time fave, "Drive Away" which I heard live a while back and am thankful it's now on CD so I can just hit repeat! Jason is one of those rare artists who is an unknown gem who constantly surprises you and whose music takes hold of you and won't let you go. You definitely want to catch his show before he makes it to the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame - just so you can say, "I saw him when he began, and he was great then too!" Congrats, Jason, on a wonderful second album and for a terrific performance in Alb. We hope to see you again soon!
